Ride With Locals

Booking Terms

Payment

A 20% deposit secures your booking through WeTravel’s secure system. The full amount must be paid no later than 30 days before the trip unless other payment options are agreed upon prior.

If you book less than 30 days before the trip, the full amount must be paid within 3 days from receiving the confirmation.

Cancellation of a trip

We encourage prompt communication when issues arise, and will always aim to reschedule your trip to a later date rather than cancel it entirely.

Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the trip departure date will be eligible for a full refund.

In the unlikely event that Ride With Locals cancels a trip, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made. We will provide a minimum of 30 days’ notice should this occur. We cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred, including but not limited to flights or other travel arrangements.

Passport

All participants are required to hold a valid passport with a minimum of six months’ validity from the date of travel. Participants are responsible for having correct travel documentation in place, including any visa requirements applicable to their country of origin.

Driver’s licence

All participating riders must have a valid driver’s licence for a heavy motorcycle.

Liability

Participants are responsible for any personal injury or property damage resulting from their own intentional misconduct or negligence. Negligence includes damage resulting from driving errors, insufficient driving ability, or unsafe and disorderly riding behaviour. Examples include performing stunts (such as riding on one wheel), aggressive starts, or failing to maintain safe distances between vehicles.

CDW (crash damage waiver) motorcycle insurance

Minor cosmetic damage, such as scratches resulting from the motorcycle being dropped or tipping over, will not be charged to the participant. Significant damage requires the participant to pay the full cost of repairs up to the applicable damage excess.

Participants have the option to purchase additional motorcycle insurance for €200. This coverage reduces liability and covers most damages that may occur during the trip, with the exception of damage resulting from reckless or highly dangerous riding behaviour.

Motorcycle insurance

Standard coverage provides basic third-party liability cover. This includes damage to other vehicles in the event of a collision, for the rider and any third parties involved in an accident.

Participants who choose not to purchase CDW insurance accept full responsibility for any damage to the motorcycle. No insurance cover applies in cases of wilful damage or reckless riding behaviour.

Medical and travel insurance

Participants are required to have medical health and accident insurance that also covers transportation back to the home country. Insurance documents must be presented before the tour starts.

Regarding cancellation, we recommend checking what your home insurance covers. Some insurances have a cancellation cover that covers the entire amount or part of it.

Itinerary and changes

Ride With Locals reserves the right to amend any information published in brochures or on the website prior to the conclusion of a booking agreement. Changes may occur due to safety considerations, weather conditions, operational requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances. Ride With Locals therefore reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, and trip details at any time.

Participants are responsible for verifying flight details and ensuring all travel arrangements, including visas, check-in and seat reservations, are confirmed in advance. We cannot be held responsible for missed flights resulting from delays or airline schedule adjustments.

Content usage

By participating, riders grant Ride With Locals the right to capture and use any photos or videos from the trip for marketing and promotional purposes, for website and social media purposes.

Rider requirements

Participants must possess intermediate off-road riding skills and be experienced in handling the type of motorcycle specified for the tour: enduro or adventure bike.
